A Few For Now...

We are home and adjusting well!! I will admit it is hard for me to not be going 100 miles per hour, but through jet lag, nine hour time change, the adjustment of having a new baby in the house, and the adjustment of the new baby in the house to us, God is showing me I MUST slow down! So, I am trying to listen and soak in every precious moment with our new son! He is absolutely, wonderfully perfect!!! He is our little brown sugar (his Aunt Susie's name for him...which I LOVE)!!

I have over 1000 pictures from our trip to pick up Samuel (Yacob) Jacob Koceich! I plan on doing a daily journal entry for each day of our trip, but for now, I just couldn't wait any longer to share some of my favorites. You will probably see these again in later posts. Just a few for today...more to come!!!

My Sweet Baby Boy...

Samuel Jacob Koceich (baby Yacob)...

We are getting so excited to meet you. We have studied your photographs, listened to others who have visited you for us tell about your mannerisms, and dreamed about you. From what we've heard you are a content little one. You are contemplative and quietly take in everything around you. I'm sure that spending two months with your Ethiopian mommy, then two in an orphanage and the three in a guest house would make you wonder where home is. You won't have to wonder much longer precious boy. We are coming to bring you home, where God intended you to be all along. You are loved more than you could know. Your sisters and brother talk about you all the time. They talk about what it will be like to play with you, to hear your voice and who gets to sit next to you at the dinner table. Just hang on a few more days...we're coming!!

Love,
Mommy
